{"id":43496,"date":"2016-05-31T10:18:09","date_gmt":"2016-05-31T17:18:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/?p=43496"},"modified":"2016-05-31T10:18:09","modified_gmt":"2016-05-31T17:18:09","slug":"beyer-joins-star-trek-television-series","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trektoday.com\/content\/2016\/05\/beyer-joins-star-trek-television-series\/","title":{"rendered":"Beyer Joins Star Trek Television Series"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Star Trek: Voyager<\/em> author <strong>Kirsten Beyer<\/strong> has joined the writing team for the new <em>Star Trek<\/em> series to be televised in January.<\/p>\n<p>The news was revealed after the author withdrew from her usual appearance at the annual <em>Shore Leave<\/em> convention.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;One of our author guests, Kirsten Beyer, has to cancel her attendance at <em>Shore Leave 38<\/em> for an admittedly very cool reason,&#8221; said the announcement. &#8220;Kirsten is one of the writers for the new <em>Star Trek<\/em> series. Her work load and commitment to the new series make it impossible to attend <em>Shore Leave<\/em> this year.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Beyer took over the<em> Star Trek: Voyager<\/em> relaunch novels in 2009.
