Altman<\/strong> and<strong> Edward Gross<\/strong> will be the first of two books detailing the fifty-year history of <em>Star Trek<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Fifty-Year Mission: The Complete, Uncensored, Unauthorized Oral History of Star Trek: The First 25 Years<\/em> goes on sale June 28.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>The Fifty-Year Mission<\/em> is a no-holds-barred oral history of five decades of <em>Star Trek<\/em>, told by the people who were there. Hear from the hundreds of television and film executives, programmers, writers, creators and cast as they unveil the oftentimes shocking story of <em>Star Trek<\/em>&#8216;s ongoing fifty-year mission.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>This first book covers the original series, and the second book (<em>The Next 25 Years<\/em>) takes up the history of<em> Star Trek<\/em> from <em>The Next Generation<\/em> to the<strong> J.J.
