{"id":43619,"date":"2016-06-13T11:21:29","date_gmt":"2016-06-13T18:21:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/?p=43619"},"modified":"2016-06-13T11:21:29","modified_gmt":"2016-06-13T18:21:29","slug":"star-trek-virtual-reality-game","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trektoday.com\/content\/2016\/06\/star-trek-virtual-reality-game\/","title":{"rendered":"Star Trek Virtual Reality Game"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Three <em>Star Trek<\/em> stars helped to demonstrate a <em>Star Trek<\/em> VR game recently.<\/p>\n<p>The game, <em>Star Trek: Bridge Crew<\/em>, comes courtesy of <em>Ubisoft<\/em> and was seen at the <em>E3 Expo<\/em> which is taking place this week in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n<p>The online game can be played by one to four players in one of four roles; Captain, helm, engineering or tactical, all of whom must work together to efficient run the ship, which is called the <em>Aegis<\/em>. The game is set in the Abrams-verse.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Aegis<\/em> is on a mission to find a new home world for the displaced remaining population of Vulcan.<\/p>\n<p><em>Star Trek: Bridge Crew<\/em> will be available via the <em>Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, <\/em>and<em> PlayStation VR<\/em> headsets this autumn.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-43621\" src=\"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/STBridgeCrew061316.gif\" alt=\"STBridgeCrew061316\" width=\"580\" height=\"225\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Trek stars trying out the game were <strong>LeVar Burton, Karl Urban, <\/strong>and<strong> Jeri Ryan<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Three Star Trek stars helped to demonstrate a Star Trek VR game recently.
