{"id":43745,"date":"2016-06-24T10:11:15","date_gmt":"2016-06-24T17:11:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/?p=43745"},"modified":"2016-06-24T10:11:15","modified_gmt":"2016-06-24T17:11:15","slug":"fuller-debunks-some-rumors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trektoday.com\/content\/2016\/06\/fuller-debunks-some-rumors\/","title":{"rendered":"Fuller Debunks Some Rumors"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Bryan Fuller<\/strong> has seen some of the Internet rumors regarding the new <em>Star Trek<\/em> television series, and he set the record straight about them.<\/p>\n<p>One of the rumors was regarding the timeframe of the new series. &#8220;I&#8217;ve read that we&#8217;re [set] before <em>Next Generation,<\/em> after <em>Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country<\/em>,&#8221; he said; &#8220;which is false.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Another rumor concerned the format of the show. &#8220;I&#8217;ve read that it&#8217;s an anthology show, which is not accurate,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;So it&#8217;s interesting to see those suggestions, and seeing the truth mixed in with them and going like, &#8216;Oh, they got that part right&#8230;&#8217; But it&#8217;s sort of on the truth-o-meter on<em> PolitiFacts<\/em>. It&#8217;s sort of like some truth, and a lot of like, &#8216;No &#8212; pants on fire! That&#8217;s not true.'&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Expect to see more than just one main crew, said Fuller. &#8220;I think we will be seeing lots of crews in the story,&#8221; he said. &#8220;One of the things that is exciting for me is that we are telling a <em>Star Trek<\/em> story in a modern way. We&#8217;re telling a thirteen-chapter story in this first season.
