{"id":44295,"date":"2016-08-19T10:36:55","date_gmt":"2016-08-19T17:36:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/?p=44295"},"modified":"2016-08-19T10:36:55","modified_gmt":"2016-08-19T17:36:55","slug":"smithsonian-three-day-trek-celebration","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trektoday.com\/content\/2016\/08\/smithsonian-three-day-trek-celebration\/","title":{"rendered":"Smithsonian Three Day Trek Celebration"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Boldly Go 50<\/em>, a three-day celebration of<em> Star Trek,<\/em> begins September 8 at the <em>Smithsonian<\/em>, fifty years after the first episode of <em>Star Trek<\/em> aired.<\/p>\n<p>At 8 PM that evening, a free screening of <em>The Man Trap<\/em> will take place.<\/p>\n<p>Day Two will feature photo ops around the restored <em>USS Enterprise<\/em> model, and a screening of<em> Building Star Trek<\/em>, the documentary recently completed by the <em>Smithsonian Channel<\/em>.
