{"id":44373,"date":"2016-09-01T11:27:27","date_gmt":"2016-09-01T18:27:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/?p=44373"},"modified":"2016-09-01T11:27:27","modified_gmt":"2016-09-01T18:27:27","slug":"more-on-the-roddenberry-vault-blu-ray-release","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trektoday.com\/content\/2016\/09\/more-on-the-roddenberry-vault-blu-ray-release\/","title":{"rendered":"More On The Roddenberry Vault Blu-Ray Release"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>More details and a release date have been announced for <em>Star Trek: The Original Series &#8211; The Roddenberry Vault<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The three-disc Blu-Ray set will include twelve classic episodes, and three documentaries.<\/p>\n<p>The episodes include: <em>The Corbomite Maneuver, Arena, Space Seed, This Side of Paradise, The Devil in the Dark, The City on the Edge of Forever, Operation &#8211; Annihilate, Metamorphosis, Who Mourns for Adonais, Mirror Mirror, The Trouble with Tribbles,<\/em> and<em> Return to Tomorrow<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The documentaries include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Inside the Roddenberry Vault<\/em>, in which <strong>Rod Roddenberry<\/strong> (son of Gene) takes viewers on a guided tour through long-lost film reels.<\/li>\n<li><em>Star Trek: Revisiting a Classic<\/em>, which looks back at the beginnings of the original series and promises to include a glimpse of life on the set.<\/li>\n<li><em>Strange New Worlds: Visualizing the Fantastic<\/em>, a feast for Trekkie tech-heads that explores some of the franchise\u2019s key special effects, like the spaceships and the transporters.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>New interviews feature <strong>D.C. Fontana, David Gerrold, John D.F. Black, Clint Howard, Leslie Parrish, Elinor Donahue, Bill Prady, Bill Nye<\/strong>, and<strong> William Shatner<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><em>Star Trek: The Original Series &#8211; The Roddenberry Vault<\/em> will arrive December 13.
