Fans waiting for the new Trek incarnation on television will have to wait a bit longer.<\/p>\n
Star Trek: Discovery<\/em> will not premiere in January as previously announced, but will instead make its debut in May.<\/p>\n “Bringing Star Trek<\/em> back to television carries a responsibility and mission: to connect fans and newcomers alike to the series that has fed our imaginations since childhood,\u201d said executive producers Alex Kurtzman<\/strong> and Bryan Fuller<\/strong>. “We aim to dream big and deliver, and that means making sure the demands of physical and post-production for a show that takes place entirely in space, and the need to meet an air date, don’t result in compromised quality.
