{"id":44657,"date":"2016-10-06T11:52:22","date_gmt":"2016-10-06T18:52:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/?p=44657"},"modified":"2016-10-06T11:52:22","modified_gmt":"2016-10-06T18:52:22","slug":"anovos-star-trek-patches","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trektoday.com\/content\/2016\/10\/anovos-star-trek-patches\/","title":{"rendered":"Anovos Star Trek Patches"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two new<em> Star Trek<\/em> patches have been released by <em>Anovos<\/em> in honor of<em> Star Trek<\/em>&#8216;s Fiftieth Anniversary.<\/p>\n<p>One patch is a<em> USS Franklin<\/em> patch from <em>Star Trek Beyond<\/em>. &#8220;The <em>USS Franklin<\/em> holds a dear place of our Trek fan hearts, as it is a dedication ship,&#8221; said <em>Anovos<\/em>. &#8220;<strong>Justin Lin<\/strong> named the ship after his father, <strong>Frank Lin<\/strong>, and the registration number is <strong>Leonard Nimoy<\/strong>&#8216;s birthday. We were debating whether we would do the <em>Franklin<\/em> crew jumpsuit or not. The one item from the jumpsuit that everyone wanted was&#8230;the patch. It&#8217;s the first real bridge between the Prime universe and the Kelvin universe we really get to hold in our hands.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The second patch is the <em>50th Anniversary Insignia Patch<\/em>, which &#8220;melds the commemorative Fiftieth log with the Command Division insignia of the original series.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The <em>50th Anniversary Delta Patch<\/em> draws inspiration and materials from the Starfleet insignia patches worn in TOS,&#8221; said <em>Anovos<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The patches will make their debut at the <em>New York Comic-Con<\/em>, which takes place this weekend. Pick yours up at booth 2155.
