Four Star Trek<\/em> comics from IDW Publishing<\/em> will be published in February 2017.<\/p>\n

The comics include: Star Trek Gold Key 100-Page Spectacular, Star Trek New Visions: Sam, Star Trek: Boldly Go #5<\/em>, and Star Trek\/Green Lantern Vol 2 #3<\/em>.<\/p>\n

In the Star Trek Gold Key 100-Page Spectacular<\/em>, “a special 100-page collection of classic Gold Key Star Trek<\/em> comics” makes its debut. “Created by writers and artists who had not seen the show often (or at all) and worked off of whatever publicity materials they could get their hands on, the Gold Key<\/em> Comics are true 1960s gems.”<\/p>\n

Stories included in this special issue, written by Dick Wood <\/strong>and Len Wein<\/strong> and featuring art by Nevio Zaccara <\/strong>and Alberto Giolitti<\/strong> and a cover by Michael Stribling<\/strong>, are: The Planet of No Return, The Youth Trap<\/em>, and The Enterprise Mutiny<\/em>…[and a] history of the Star Trek Gold Key<\/em> comics by author Joe Berenato<\/strong>.”<\/p>\n

The one hundred page issue will sell for $7.99.<\/p>\n

Next up is Star Trek New Visions: Sam<\/em>, written by and with photo-manipulation by John Byrne<\/strong>. In this issue “James Kirk faces the greatest challenge of his life when his own brother is accused of murder.”<\/p>\n

Forty-eight pages in length, Star Trek New Visions: Sam<\/em> will sell for $7.99.<\/p>\n

Star Trek: Boldly Go #5<\/em> focuses on “Jaylah, the breakout alien heroine from Star Trek Beyond<\/em>. Readers will learn the secrets of Jaylah’s past as she prepares for a bold new future at Starfleet Academy.”<\/p>\n

Written by Mike Johnson<\/strong> and featuring art by Tony Shasteen<\/strong>, and a cover by George Caltsoudas<\/strong>, this thirty-two page issue will sell for $3.99. Look for a subscription variant cover by Shasteen, and a variant cover by Marc Laming<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Finally, Star Trek\/Green Lantern Vol 2 #3<\/em> continues the “race to the planet Oa…Will Captain Kirk and Hal Jordan be the first to find the legendary home of the Green Lanterns<\/em>, or will Sinestro and the Klingons beat them to it?”<\/p>\n
