{"id":45438,"date":"2017-03-03T10:11:42","date_gmt":"2017-03-03T18:11:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/?p=45438"},"modified":"2017-03-03T10:11:42","modified_gmt":"2017-03-03T18:11:42","slug":"adam-nimoy-explains-brooks-absence","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trektoday.com\/content\/2017\/03\/adam-nimoy-explains-brooks-absence\/","title":{"rendered":"Adam Nimoy Explains Brooks&#8217; Absence"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Deep Space Nine<\/em> fans wondering why <strong>Avery Brooks<\/strong> is not (so far) involved in the <em>Deep Space Nine<\/em> documentary in progress have an answer courtesy of <strong>Adam Nimoy.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are still reaching out to Avery,&#8221; said Nimoy, &#8220;but as Ira told me&#8230;Avery did not want to be involved with another &#8216;talking heads&#8217; documentary about the show, which is something that we agree with.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are trying to find new ways to tell the story of<em> Deep Space Nine<\/em> without relying so heavily on talking heads interviews. We have more muscle now to tell the story, so it&#8217;s a challenge. We are still interested in reaching out to Avery, and finding out if he&#8217;d be willing to participate in any way.
