I don&#8217;t even know if I&#8217;m allowed to say that. It&#8217;s so profoundly under wraps, which I completely understand and actually endorse. But I\u2019m really excited.<\/p>\n<p>As a gay man himself, Rapp is pleased to be playing the first recurring gay character in <em>Star Trek<\/em>. &#8220;I&#8217;m honored,&#8221; he said. &#8220;I&#8217;m also honored to be a part of a piece of work that&#8217;s part of the cultural pantheon. It&#8217;s kind of crazy that I get to be a part of something that means so much to so many people. It meant a lot to me, too.
