{"id":46170,"date":"2017-06-21T11:43:34","date_gmt":"2017-06-21T18:43:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/?p=46170"},"modified":"2017-06-21T11:43:34","modified_gmt":"2017-06-21T18:43:34","slug":"no-paramount-park-for-the-uk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trektoday.com\/content\/2017\/06\/no-paramount-park-for-the-uk\/","title":{"rendered":"No Paramount Park For The UK"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>London Resort Company Holdings <\/em>and<em> Paramount<\/em> were unable to come to terms on a deal that would have resulted in <em>Paramount London<\/em>, an amusement park that would have included a<em> Star Trek<\/em>-themed area.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Starfleet Command Zone<\/em> would have been one of the seven zones planned for the amusement park, which would have also included a water park, hotel, theater, business facilities and more.<\/p>\n<p><em>London Resort Company Holdings<\/em> &#8220;needed to move on from <em>Paramount<\/em>,&#8221; and part of the reason was the inability to come to terms on &#8220;some of the rights to major films, including the image rights for some of their top stars.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We want to express our sincere thanks to the many members of the <em>Paramount<\/em> team who have worked with us since we took over the project in August 2013,&#8221;
