{"id":46445,"date":"2017-07-28T10:00:30","date_gmt":"2017-07-28T17:00:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/?p=46445"},"modified":"2017-07-28T10:00:30","modified_gmt":"2017-07-28T17:00:30","slug":"saldana-launches-new-company","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trektoday.com\/content\/2017\/07\/saldana-launches-new-company\/","title":{"rendered":"Saldana Launches New Company"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Star Trek: Beyond<\/em>&#8216;s<strong> Zoe Saldana<\/strong> will be launching a new digital media company later this year.<\/p>\n<p>The company is called<em> BeSe<\/em> and it will &#8220;focus on empowering Latinos,&#8221; and will &#8220;create cultural storytelling targeting millennial and Gen Z audiences, for distribution across social and digital platforms.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Latinos are a growing community in America, but Latino stories have remained historically marginalized,&#8221; said Saldana. &#8220;I&#8217;m so excited to be leading <em>BeSe<\/em>, a truly uplifting brand that fills a niche for young audiences craving positive portrayals of the modern Latino experience in America. I&#8217;m grateful to partner with Daniel, Monica and <em>Plus Foundry<\/em> so that more voices can be heard and empower others to actively create their own futures.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Saldana will be the CEO of <em>BeSe<\/em>, as well as the founder.
