Star Trek Las Vegas<\/em> begins this week, and there are plenty of Trek-themed events for fans. Some have been listed below; the full list can be found here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, fans can attend Gaaays In Spaaace with Nana Visitor and Dan Deevy<\/em>. In this panel, Gays in Space<\/em> has “been joined by countless members of the Star Trek family as we travel the country celebrating our long overdue inclusion in the Star Trek<\/em> Universe. Come see our journey so far, discuss why it has taken so long to get here and discover all that we have planned for the future.” 9:00 AM-9:45 Am in Brasilia 4-6.<\/em><\/p>\n

At 10:30 AM in Pavilion<\/em>, Leonard Nimoy’s Farewell to the Fans<\/strong>\u00a0 will takes place. A filmed version of Leonard’s last convention appearance at Creation’s Chicago Convention<\/em> in 2011 will be shown, which “includes his slide presentation and narrative that covers the history of his life and career.”<\/p>\n

Another Nimoy-themed event will the STLV<\/em> premiere of Remembering Leonard Nimoy,<\/em> a film produced and directed by Nimoy’s daughter Julie Nimoy<\/strong> and his son-in-law David Knight<\/strong>. This will take place Wednesday at 11:30 AM at Pavilion<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Fans hungry for Star Trek: Discovery<\/em> news should plan on spending four hours at Pavilion<\/em> beginning at 2:30 PM. There are four different panels: Inside the Star Trek: Discovery’s Writers Room<\/em> (Kirsten Beyer, Ted Sullivan<\/strong>), Introducing Star Trek: Discovery<\/em> (Mary Chieffo, Kenneth Mitchell, Sam Vartholomeos<\/strong>), Designing the Creatures of Star Trek: Discovery<\/em> (Glenn Hetrick, Neville Page<\/em>), and Star Trek: Discovery Comics and Novels Revealed<\/em> (Kirsten Beyer, Sarah Gaydos, Mike Johnson, David Mack, Ed Schlesinger<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

Some other panels of interest include: The Expanding Star Trek Comic Universe<\/em> (Mike Johnson, J.K. Woodward, John Van Citters, Sarah Gaydos<\/strong>) on Thursday at 10:45 AM in Brasilia 4-6<\/em>, Q&A – Eugene Rod Roddenberry and Trevor Roth<\/em> on Thursday at 11:45 AM in Pavilion<\/em>, Inside Trek: Star Trek Authors and Their Books<\/em> at 12:45 PM in Brasilia 4-6<\/em>, John Eaves Presentation: The Kelvin timeline<\/em> – ship and prop design from the latest three Star Trek<\/em> films, Friday 9:15 AM in Pavilion<\/em>, Morgan Gendel<\/strong> (The Inner Light<\/em> writer) on Friday at 9:45 AM at Brasilia 4-6<\/em>, and Okudagrams: The development of the LCARS and Next Generation Graphic Design<\/em> (Mike <\/strong>and Denise Okuda<\/strong>) on Friday 10:15 AM Brasilia 4-6.<\/em><\/p>\n

On Friday night, the Next Generation 30th Anniversary Cast Reunion<\/em> will take place. In attendance at this panel, to be held at 6 PM at Pavilion<\/em>, will be Patrick Stewart, Jonathan Frakes, Brent Spiner, Michael Dorn, Gates McFadden, Marina Sirtis, LeVar Burton, Denise Crosby<\/strong> and guest star John de Lancie. Terry Farrell<\/strong> will moderate the panel.<\/p>\n

On Saturday night, The Inner Light Panel<\/em> with Sir Patrick Stewart, Margot Rose<\/strong>, and Morgan Gendel<\/strong> will take place at 4:30 PM at Pavilion<\/em>.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, at 12:15, the What We Left Behind Panel and Exclusive Sneak Preview<\/em> will take place at Pavilion<\/em>. On the panel will be Ira Steven Behr, David Zappone, Joseph Kornbrodt, Luke Snallham, Kai de Mello<\/strong>, and Adam Nimoy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Finish up the convention on Sunday with Creation Entertainment Presents: The Star Trek Rat Pack!<\/em> This is a live performance with Max Grodenchik, Ethan Phillips, Vaughn Armstrong, Jeffrey Combs<\/strong>, and Casey Biggs<\/strong> with musical accompaniment by Bill Burchell <\/strong>and Brent Bristow<\/strong>.
