{"id":46582,"date":"2017-08-14T11:41:20","date_gmt":"2017-08-14T18:41:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/?p=46582"},"modified":"2017-08-14T11:41:20","modified_gmt":"2017-08-14T18:41:20","slug":"lorca-fans-will-have-to-adjust","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trektoday.com\/content\/2017\/08\/lorca-fans-will-have-to-adjust\/","title":{"rendered":"Lorca: Fans Will Have To Adjust"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Jason Isaacs<\/strong>, who plays Captain Lorca in <em>Star Trek: Discovery<\/em>, had some words for die-hard<em> Star Trek<\/em> fans.<\/p>\n<p>The actor explained that this <em>Star Trek<\/em> will be different from previous incarnations. &#8220;It&#8217;s <em>Star Trek<\/em>, but not as we know it,&#8221; he said. &#8220;There are places obviously where they&#8217;ve observed canon to do with things like uniforms and badges and stuff, but there are places where the rules of storytelling are reinvented.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Fans will have to get used to the changes. &#8220;I don&#8217;t mean to sound irreverent when I say I don&#8217;t care about the die-hard Trek fans,&#8221; said Isaacs. &#8220;I only &#8216;don&#8217;t care&#8217; about them in the sense that I know they&#8217;re all going to watch anyway.
