It revolves around a group of vigilantes known informally as &#8216;the Boys,&#8217; who set out to take down corrupt superheroes with no more than blue-collar grit and a willingness to fight dirty.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Urban will play the leader of the group, Billy Butchers. Butcher is &#8220;mysterious, brutal and with a personal but secret agenda.&#8221; He &#8220;approaches Hughie <strong>(Jack Quaid<\/strong>), claiming to be a shadowy government operative. Butcher capitalizes on Hughie&#8217;s rage over his girlfriend Robin&#8217;s accidental death at the hands of superhero A-Train (<strong>Jesse T. Usher<\/strong>) and enlists Hughie as part of his plan to bring down the Superhero franchise.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><em>The Boys<\/em> is written by<strong> Eric Kripke<\/strong>, and will be directed by <strong>Evan Goldberg <\/strong>and<strong> Seth Rogen.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Star Trek Beyond&#8216;s Karl Urban will be starring in Amazon&#8216;s superhero drama The Boys.
