{"id":48374,"date":"2018-05-15T13:40:49","date_gmt":"2018-05-15T20:40:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/?p=48374"},"modified":"2018-05-15T13:40:49","modified_gmt":"2018-05-15T20:40:49","slug":"nichols-placed-under-temporary-conservatorship","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trektoday.com\/content\/2018\/05\/nichols-placed-under-temporary-conservatorship\/","title":{"rendered":"Nichols Placed Under Temporary Conservatorship"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Los Angeles Superior Court Judge has granted a temporary conservatorship for <strong>Nichelle Nichols<\/strong> to a team of professional fiduciaries; whose job it is to handle a person&#8217;s finances and assets.<\/p>\n<p>The petition to the court came from her son, <strong>Kyle Johnson<\/strong>, because his mother allegedly is suffering from dementia. Over $250,000 is missing from her account and her manager, <strong>Gilbert Bell<\/strong>, had deeded one of her two properties (worth about two million dollars) to himself. Bell cancelled the property transfer once he found out about Nichol&#8217;s son&#8217;s petition. Bell objected to the petition, but the judge, <strong>Barbara Johnson<\/strong>, granted the conservatorship anyhow.<\/p>\n<p>Johnson and Nichol&#8217;s sister attended the hearing, but Nichelle was not there in person.
