{"id":48990,"date":"2018-08-10T14:43:41","date_gmt":"2018-08-10T21:43:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/?p=48990"},"modified":"2018-08-10T14:43:41","modified_gmt":"2018-08-10T21:43:41","slug":"nichols-has-moderate-dementia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trektoday.com\/content\/2018\/08\/nichols-has-moderate-dementia\/","title":{"rendered":"Nichols Has Moderate Dementia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>According to documents filed in <strong>Nichelle Nichols<\/strong>&#8216; conservatorship, her doctor, <strong>Meena Makhijani<\/strong> said that Nichols had moderate progressive dementia.<\/p>\n<p>Nichols has been a patient of Makhijani for several years.<\/p>\n<p>Back in May, Nichol&#8217;s son <strong>Kyle Johnson<\/strong> filed legal documents to appoint conservators to guard her finances and to make health decisions for the actress.<\/p>\n<p>Her dementia was &#8220;impacting her executive function,&#8221; said Johnson, and it made her &#8220;susceptible to undue influence.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Johnson filed to appoint the conservatives because he felt his mother had been and would be taken advantage of.
