{"id":49048,"date":"2018-08-22T11:57:56","date_gmt":"2018-08-22T18:57:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/?p=49048"},"modified":"2018-08-22T11:57:56","modified_gmt":"2018-08-22T18:57:56","slug":"nichols-legal-battles-continue","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trektoday.com\/content\/2018\/08\/nichols-legal-battles-continue\/","title":{"rendered":"Nichols&#8217; Legal Battles Continue"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Angelique Fawcette<\/strong>, a friend of<strong> Nichelle Nichols<\/strong>, claims that Nichols&#8217; son <strong>Kyle Johnson<\/strong> is more concerned with Nichols&#8217; money than with her well-being.<\/p>\n<p>Fawcette filed legal documents challenging the diagnosis of moderate dementia; saying that the doctor who diagnosed Nichols &#8220;not a psychiatrist and lacks necessary qualifications.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>She also claimed that Nichols is spry and lucid, performs her daily activities with no issues, and only needs to occasionally be reminded to pay her bills.<\/p>\n<p>In March of 2017, a letter from Nichols to her son Kyle, seen <a href=\"http:\/\/tmz.vo.llnwd.net\/o28\/newsdesk\/tmz_documents\/Nichelle%20Nichols.pdf\">here<\/a>, says that she is &#8220;amending her last will and trust, as you have stated to me several times, &#8216;I can&#8217;t wait to get rid of the shit and sell my house and property.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;ve made a decision to amend my will and trust: You will be provided a check twice a year from the<em> N.N. Legacy LLC<\/em> @10% of the net profits. I am placing my memorabilia and property into the<em> N.N. Legacy LLC<\/em>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>This is not at all unusual in these kinds of cases.
