The actors wanted more money than <em>Paramount Pictures<\/em> was willing to pay.<\/p>\n<p><em>Star Trek 4<\/em> would feature<em> Star Trek<\/em> films&#8217; first female director, <strong>S.J. Clarkson<\/strong>. It would also have as guest star <strong>Danai Gurira<\/strong>, who is slotted for a &#8220;key role&#8221; in the movie.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Losing Pine and Kirk is not a big deal and kind of cool,&#8221; said Shankar. &#8220;Actors don&#8217;t matter, stories do.
