In January, IDW Publishing<\/em> is celebrating its twentieth anniversary with a weekly event beginning in January.<\/p>\n

In this event, various comic lines will feature an issue set twenty years in the future, or twenty years in the past.<\/p>\n

Included in the event are the following comics: Ghostbusters, Jem and the Holograms, My Little Pony, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles<\/em>, and Star Trek<\/em>.<\/p>\n

“An anniversary like the one IDW<\/em> is celebrating is a cause to look to the future and the past,\u201d said IDW<\/em>‘s Editor-in-Chief John Barber<\/strong>. “It gives us a moment to reflect on where came from and where we’re going, because both directions are pretty exciting. We’re lucky to have partners like Hasbro, Nickelodeon, CBS Consumer Products<\/em>, and Sony<\/em> to share in the celebration \u2014 and to have these five sets of characters that have helped place IDW<\/em> at the center of the pop culture universe!”<\/p>\n

Here is the description of the Star Trek IDW 20\/20<\/em> comic: “Twenty years before he took command of the U.S.S. Enterprise-D<\/em>, Jean-Luc Picard sat in the captain’s chair of the U.S.S. Stargazer<\/em>. Picard served with distinction aboard the Stargazer<\/em> for many years on his way to becoming the most respected captain in Starfleet. But in this early mission, Picard shows us a vulnerable side as well as glimpses of the brilliant tactician he would become.”<\/p>\n

Star Trek IDW 20\/20<\/em> will be written by Peter David<\/strong>, and will feature art by J.K. Woodward<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
