{"id":49604,"date":"2018-12-05T13:18:20","date_gmt":"2018-12-05T21:18:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/?p=49604"},"modified":"2018-12-05T13:18:20","modified_gmt":"2018-12-05T21:18:20","slug":"stewart-picard-series-in-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trektoday.com\/content\/2018\/12\/stewart-picard-series-in-2019\/","title":{"rendered":"Stewart Picard Series in 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Trek fans eager to see the new Picard series starring<strong> Sir Patrick Stewart<\/strong> now have a better idea of when the series will begin airing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>David Nevins<\/strong>, chief creative officer for <em>CBS Corporation<\/em>, gave a forty-five minute keynote speech yesterday at <em>UBS<\/em>&#8216;s <em>Annual Global Media and Communications Conference<\/em> in New York.<\/p>\n<p>During the speech, Nevins touched upon <em>Star Trek<\/em>; mentioning both <em>Star Trek: Discovery<\/em> and the new Picard series, but he did not address <em>Star Trek: Lower Decks<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>Star Trek: Discovery<\/em> season two is in a great place,&#8221; Nevins said. &#8220;And there is huge anticipation for Picard. That will [premiere] at the end of the year.
