{"id":49616,"date":"2018-12-06T13:50:35","date_gmt":"2018-12-06T21:50:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/?p=49616"},"modified":"2018-12-06T13:50:35","modified_gmt":"2018-12-06T21:50:35","slug":"shatner-urges-fans-to-help-terminally-ill-boy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trektoday.com\/content\/2018\/12\/shatner-urges-fans-to-help-terminally-ill-boy\/","title":{"rendered":"Shatner Urges Fans To Help Terminally-Ill Boy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>William Shatner<\/strong> has begun a campaign on<em> Twitter<\/em> to help a young teenager who is terminally-ill with only a few weeks to live.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Maddox Hyde<\/strong>, an eighth-grade student, was diagnosed with neuroblastoma; a cancer that &#8220;develops from immature nerves cells.&#8221; Hyde&#8217;s cancer began on his right adrenal gland.<\/p>\n<p>For over eight years, Hyde has been fighting the cancer; going briefly into remission. But tumors kept popping up in different parts of his body; including the hip, spine and the back base of his head.
