{"id":52807,"date":"2020-06-24T14:32:38","date_gmt":"2020-06-24T21:32:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/?p=52807"},"modified":"2020-06-24T14:32:38","modified_gmt":"2020-06-24T21:32:38","slug":"star-trek-lower-decks-coming-to-canada-later-this-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trektoday.com\/content\/2020\/06\/star-trek-lower-decks-coming-to-canada-later-this-year\/","title":{"rendered":"Star Trek: Lower Decks Coming To Canada Later This Year"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Canadian Trek fans waiting for<em> Star Trek: Lower Decks<\/em> now know on which channels the animated series will air.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement came today from <em>Bell Media<\/em>&#8216;s president of content and programming, <strong>Mike Cosentino<\/strong>, during the <em>CTV Homefront<\/em> presentation.<\/p>\n<p><em>Star Trek: Lower Decks<\/em> will air on<em> CTV Sci-Fi <\/em>and also stream on <em>Crave<\/em> when it arrives later this year.<\/p>\n<p><em>CTV Sci-Fi Channel<\/em> has this to say: &#8220;First came <em>Star Trek: Discovery<\/em>. Then came <em>Star Trek: Picard.<\/em> Now, we&#8217;re getting a <em>Star Trek<\/em> series unlike anything we\u2019ve seen before.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Earlier today, we announced that <em>Star Trek: Lower Decks<\/em>, the latest addition to the Trek canon, will be coming to <em>CTV Sci-Fi Channel<\/em> later this year. Unlike <em>Discovery <\/em>and<em> Picard, Lower Decks<\/em>\u2014set shortly after the events of <em>Star Trek: Nemesis<\/em>\u2014is a half-hour comedy that focuses on the more lighthearted aspects of being a Starfleet crew member. Oh, and it&#8217;s also animated.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In the U.S., fans will see the series on <em>CBS All Access<\/em>.
