WonderCon attendees to J.J. Abrams’<\/b>s Star Trek<\/i> panel saw the new trailer that will debut with Watchman<\/i> next week and which featured James T. Kirk. <\/p>\n
As reported by Newsarama.com<\/a>, Abrams, after asking the audience to refrain from recording what they were about to see, showed the new trailer which featured mostly new footage, including space battles and hand-to-hand fighting. In addition to Kirk, all of the main cast members were seen in the footage. Abrams told a fan that he wanted to give established fans what they wanted and there were many references in Star Trek XI<\/i> to the original series. He claimed that the movie was made for the fans first.
