Actors from several Star Trek<\/i> series and movies have been cast in new roles or are appearing in shows, movies or at conventions.<\/p>\n
As reported by JoBlo<\/a>, Zoe Saldana<\/b> (Star Trek XI<\/i>‘s Uhura) has joined the cast of The Losers<\/i>, where she will play the sole female “loser,” the cold-blooded killer Aisha. The Losers<\/i> is about a Special Forces team, who have been set up and betrayed by their handler Max, and are out for revenge and to get their names off of a CIA death list. The Losers<\/i> is based on the DC\/Vertigo comic series which ran from 2003-2006. <\/p>\n As reported by The Huddersfield Daily Examiner<\/a>, Star Trek: The Next Generation<\/i>‘s Patrick Stewart<\/b> will be the voice of God in a mystery play set to debut this summer. The English Mystery Plays<\/i> will be performed in the Monk Bretton Priory in Barnsley and will run from June 29 through July 11.<\/p>\n Gary Graham<\/b> (Star Trek: Enterprise<\/i>‘s Ambassador Soval, Alien Nation<\/i>) was heard on the Price of Business<\/i> radio show today, as reported by dBusinessNews<\/a>. Graham is an advocate of the need to challenge the Obama administration and has been taking his message to media audiences. The show should be in the show archives<\/a> within the next day or so for those who wish to hear what Graham had to say on the show.<\/p>\n Those in and near Riverside, Iowa, the self-proclaimed “Future Birthplace of James T. Kirk,” will be interested to hear that three original series stars will be appearing at this summer’s TrekFest. George Takei<\/b> (Sulu,) Nichelle Nichols<\/b> (Uhura,) and Walter Koenig<\/b> (Chekov,) will be participating in TrekFest events.
