James Cromwell<\/b>, best known to Star Trek<\/i> fans for his role of Dr. Zefram Cochrane in Star Trek: First Contact<\/i>, will receive a career achievement award at the Palm Beach International Film Festival this Friday.<\/p>\n
As reported by the South Florida Sun-Sentinel<\/a>, Cromwell will receive his award this Friday, April 24th, at 7 P.M. at the Boca Raton Resort and Club.A veteran of over one hundred and forty projects, Cromwell started his acting career late, at the age of thirty-four. In addition to playing Cochrane, Cromwell appeared in three Star Trek: The Next Generation<\/i> episodes: The Hunted, Birthright Part I, Birthright Part II<\/i>, as well as one Star Trek: Deep Space Nine<\/i> episode: Starship Down<\/i>.<\/p>\n Cromwell was nominated for an Academy Award for his performance as Farmer Hoggett in 1995’s Babe<\/i>. He reprised the role in the sequel, Babe: Pig in the City<\/i>. Cromwell appeared in other movies such as L.A. Confidential, Revenge of the Nerds, Deep Inpact, The Green Mile, I, Robot<\/i> and Spider Man 3<\/i>. <\/p>\n His television roles include shows such as Angels in America<\/i> miniseries, HBO’s Six Feet Under<\/i> (which earned him an Emmy nomination,) E.R.<\/i> and 24<\/i>, where he played the father of Jack Bauer.<\/p>\n To read more, head to the article located here<\/a>.
