Star Trek art designer Mike Okuda<\/b> will be recognized next month for his contributions to the look of the U.S. space program<\/p>\n
As reported by Wired<\/a>, Okuda, well-known to Star Trek<\/i> fans for his many contributions over the years dating back to the days of Star Trek: The Next Generation<\/i>, will receive the NASA Exceptional Public Service Medal for his work on multiple exploration missions. Okuda’s design work for Project Constellation includes program emblemsfor the Altair, Ares, Constellation and Orion program.
