{"id":7597,"date":"2009-10-26T12:18:14","date_gmt":"2009-10-26T19:18:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/?p=7597"},"modified":"2009-10-26T12:52:20","modified_gmt":"2009-10-26T19:52:20","slug":"kurtzman-and-orci-to-produce-doc-savage","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trektoday.com\/content\/2009\/10\/kurtzman-and-orci-to-produce-doc-savage\/","title":{"rendered":"Kurtzman And Orci To Produce Doc Savage"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Fans of <em>Doc Savage<\/em> will be pleased to know that a movie is in the works, to be produced by\u00a0<strong><\/strong><strong>Alex Kurtzman<\/strong> and <strong>Roberto Orci<\/strong> and written by <strong>Shane Black<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>According to <em>Ain&#8217;t It Cool News<\/em>&#8216;s <strong>Harry Knowles<\/strong>, a meet-up with Shane Black<strong> <\/strong>(<em>Lethal Weapon, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang<\/em>) produced the news that Black would be writing a script for <em>Doc Savage<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-7598\" title=\"102609DocSavage\" src=\"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/102609DocSavage.gif\" alt=\"102609DocSavage\" width=\"174\" height=\"250\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Clark Savage, Jr., known as Doc Savage, was a forerunner of Superman, with near-superhuman abilities. Savage was a &#8220;physician, surgeon, scientist, adventurer, inventor, explorer, researcher, musician and martial arts master,&#8221; who was raised from birth to fight evil.<\/p>\n<p>The original story will supposedly be set in the 1930s.
