{"id":7654,"date":"2009-10-30T11:24:22","date_gmt":"2009-10-30T18:24:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/?p=7654"},"modified":"2016-09-11T04:00:00","modified_gmt":"2016-09-11T11:00:00","slug":"hardy-joins-mad-max-cast","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trektoday.com\/content\/2009\/10\/hardy-joins-mad-max-cast\/","title":{"rendered":"Hardy Joins Mad Max Cast"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s official, <strong>Tom Hardy<\/strong> (Shinzon in <em>Star Trek: Nemesis<\/em>) has been cast as Mad Max.<\/p>\n<p>As reported recently at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/2009\/10\/hardy-in-mad-max-4\/\">TrekToday<\/a>, Hardy was in the running to replace <strong>Mel Gibson<\/strong> as Mad Max in <em>Mad Max 4: Fury Word<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to Hardy, <strong>Charlize Theron<\/strong> (<em>Monster<\/em>) will also be in the post-apocalyptic film.<\/p>\n<p>Filming for Max Max 4 will begin next August, in Australia. There are no details on the plot yet, but it is known that there will be plenty of stunt work, with &#8220;super fast vehicles&#8221; that are under development. &#8220;It&#8217;s obviously over-the-top,&#8221; said Director <strong>George Miller<\/strong>. &#8220;But they&#8217;ll [the vehicles] have to be very high performance because the film is shot in speed, and they&#8217;ll have to be very, very safe. The reason this movie is so big is that there&#8217;s just a huge number of stunts.
