{"id":7731,"date":"2009-11-10T15:08:06","date_gmt":"2009-11-10T23:08:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/?p=7731"},"modified":"2009-11-10T15:08:33","modified_gmt":"2009-11-10T23:08:33","slug":"zinkievich-on-post-launch-star-trek-online","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trektoday.com\/content\/2009\/11\/zinkievich-on-post-launch-star-trek-online\/","title":{"rendered":"Zinkievich On Post-Launch Star Trek: Online"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>According to Cryptic Studios Producer <strong>Craig Zinkievich<\/strong>, some ideas previously omitted from <em>Star Trek: Onlin<\/em>e may be included as the game evolves.<\/p>\n<p>The development team had &#8220;plenty&#8221; of ideas, said Zinkievich. &#8220;Some of the biggest were allowing players to play as neutral factions (like traders) or play as an officer on another player&#8217;s ship.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Part of the reason some of the ideas weren&#8217;t included had to do with time constraints. &#8220;We also knew that we wanted to get the game out in a set amount of time,&#8221; said Zinkievich, &#8220;and that we wanted to make sure that we delivered a deep and rich experience rather than a whole bunch of thin ones.
