{"id":8179,"date":"2010-01-15T18:40:30","date_gmt":"2010-01-16T02:40:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/?p=8179"},"modified":"2010-01-15T18:40:51","modified_gmt":"2010-01-16T02:40:51","slug":"lindelof-writing-to-begin-in-spring","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trektoday.com\/content\/2010\/01\/lindelof-writing-to-begin-in-spring\/","title":{"rendered":"Lindelof: Writing To Begin In Spring"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Co-writer <strong>Damon Lindelof<\/strong> confirmed that he and co-writers <strong>Alex Kurtzman<\/strong> and <strong>Roberto Orci<\/strong> will begin work on <em>Star Trek XII<\/em> once their work on <em>Lost<\/em> is finished.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;re going to start probably in April once the writing on <em>Lost<\/em> is done,&#8221; he said. &#8220;Trek will come out in 2012 at some point, so we&#8217;ve still got a little bit of time, but we&#8217;ve been talking about it. We just haven&#8217;t been writing.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>No word yet on when production on the sequel would begin.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->In other <em>Star Trek XII<\/em> news, <strong>J.J. Abrams<\/strong> couldn&#8217;t resist a chance to joke about the subject of the next <em>Star Trek<\/em> movie while on the National Board of Review. &#8220;I have to admit, the [sequel] is really all about the Gorn (Green lizard-like aliens from the original series episode <em>Arena<\/em>).
