{"id":8184,"date":"2010-01-15T19:21:09","date_gmt":"2010-01-16T03:21:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/?p=8184"},"modified":"2010-01-15T19:21:09","modified_gmt":"2010-01-16T03:21:09","slug":"no-love-for-trek-at-critics-choice-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trektoday.com\/content\/2010\/01\/no-love-for-trek-at-critics-choice-awards\/","title":{"rendered":"No Love For Trek At Critics&#8217; Choice Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Star Trek XI<\/em> was shut out in each of the five categories for which it was nominated in the Critics&#8217; Choice Awards, which aired this evening.<\/p>\n<p>Trek was nominated for Best Action Movie, Best Acting Ensemble, Best Sound, Best Visual Effects and Best Makeup.<\/p>\n<p>Winners in each category were:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Best Action Movie: <em>Avatar <\/em><\/li>\n<li>Best Acting Ensemble: <em>Inglourious Basterds <\/em><\/li>\n<li>Best Sound: <em>Avatar<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Best Visual Effects: <em>Avatar<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Best Makeup: <em>District 9<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Ah well, there&#8217;s always Oscar, although in the last ten years, eighty percent of the Best Picture winners from the Critic&#8217;s Choice Awards went on to win an Oscar.
