{"id":8338,"date":"2010-02-02T16:43:08","date_gmt":"2010-02-03T00:43:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/?p=8338"},"modified":"2010-02-02T16:43:08","modified_gmt":"2010-02-03T00:43:08","slug":"kurtzman-and-orci-sign-tv-deal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trektoday.com\/content\/2010\/02\/kurtzman-and-orci-sign-tv-deal\/","title":{"rendered":"Kurtzman And Orci Sign TV Deal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Star Trek XI<\/em> Co-writers <strong>Alex Kurtzman <\/strong>and<strong> Roberto Orci<\/strong> have signed an exclusive three-year deal with 20th Century Fox.<\/p>\n<p>Kurtzman and Orci will bring in show ideas, create their own projects (with or without others) and recruit writers as part of the deal.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-8339\" title=\"KurtzmanOrci01222010\" src=\"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/KurtzmanOrci01222010.gif\" alt=\"KurtzmanOrci01222010\" width=\"250\" height=\"154\" \/>&#8220;We&#8217;ve been pursuing this deal for quite some time,&#8221; said 20th Century Fox TV Chairman <strong>Dana Walden<\/strong>. &#8220;They would elevate any type of development. But they were very thoughtful about the kind of commitment they were making.
