{"id":8850,"date":"2010-04-13T13:35:17","date_gmt":"2010-04-13T20:35:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/?p=8850"},"modified":"2010-04-13T13:35:17","modified_gmt":"2010-04-13T20:35:17","slug":"collins-wants-in-on-star-trek-xii","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trektoday.com\/content\/2010\/04\/collins-wants-in-on-star-trek-xii\/","title":{"rendered":"Collins Wants In On Star Trek XII"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Clifton Collins Jr.<\/strong> (Ayel) thinks that his character has an excellent chance of returning for <em>Star Trek XII<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Unlike <strong>Eric Bana<\/strong>, who said that he will not be back to play Nero, the actor who played his first officer thinks his odds of returning for the sequel are good.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><a href=\"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/RomCliftonCollins041310.gif\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-8851\" title=\"RomCliftonCollins041310\" src=\"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/RomCliftonCollins041310.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"120\" height=\"112\" \/><\/a>When asked if it was possible if his character (or Nero) would be seen in the sequel to <em>Star Trek XI<\/em>, Collins said &#8220;Yes, absolutely 100%.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Now please go and tell J.J.,&#8221; added Collins, revealing that while he would indeed like to be in the sequel, his return is by no means as certain as &#8220;100%.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Collins reminisced about getting that call from Abrams for <em>Star Trek XI<\/em>. &#8220;He actually called me at home and pitched the character to me,&#8221; he said. &#8220;It was truly an incredible experience working with J.J. and his entire team.
