{"id":8941,"date":"2010-04-21T13:02:22","date_gmt":"2010-04-21T20:02:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/?p=8941"},"modified":"2010-04-21T13:03:05","modified_gmt":"2010-04-21T20:03:05","slug":"idw-july-star-trek-comics","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trektoday.com\/content\/2010\/04\/idw-july-star-trek-comics\/","title":{"rendered":"IDW July Star Trek Comics"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>IDW Publishing has provided a &#8220;first look&#8221; at the July IDW <em>Star Trek<\/em> comics.<\/p>\n<p>The July comic releases will include three <em>Star Tre<\/em>k comics and one new trade paperback comic collection.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><a href=\"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/BOKComic042110.gif\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-8942\" title=\"BOKComic042110\" src=\"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/BOKComic042110.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"164\" height=\"250\" \/><\/a>As reported by <a href=\"http:\/\/trekmovie.com\/2010\/04\/21\/first-look-at-covers-details-on-july-star-trek-comics\/\">TrekMovie.com<\/a>, comic fans will have several publications to keep them busy in July.<\/p>\n<p>In <em>Star Trek: Burden of Knowledge #2<\/em>, written by <strong>Scott Tipton <\/strong>and<strong> David Tipton<\/strong>, with art by <strong>Frederic Manfredi<\/strong> and the cover by <strong>Joe Corroney<\/strong>, Captain Kirk&#8217;s crew finds a new peaceful, idyllic society that isn&#8217;t as idyllic as it appears at first glance. A rebellion forces Kirk to decide between getting involved or following the Prime Directive.<\/p>\n<p><em>Star Trek: McCoy #4,<\/em> art, writing and cover all by<strong> John Byrne<\/strong>, contains two tales. In one, McCoy must find a way to deal with a virus that just may be smarter than he is. In the second tale, a visit to an old friend finds McCoy wrestling with a dilemma that cuts across the very heart of the Hippocratic Oath.<\/p>\n<p>Other offerings include the <em>Star Trek Movie Adaptation #5<\/em> comic, and the <em>Star Trek: Deep Space Nine: Fool&#8217;s Gold<\/em> trade paperback.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>IDW Publishing has provided a &#8220;first look&#8221; at the July IDW Star Trek comics.
