{"id":9345,"date":"2010-06-02T13:16:07","date_gmt":"2010-06-02T20:16:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/?p=9345"},"modified":"2010-06-02T13:16:07","modified_gmt":"2010-06-02T20:16:07","slug":"pegg-testifies-against-new-york-burglar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trektoday.com\/content\/2010\/06\/pegg-testifies-against-new-york-burglar\/","title":{"rendered":"Pegg Testifies Against New York Burglar"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Simon Pegg<\/strong>&#8216;s habit of hiding a special piece of jewelry kept it safe when a thief hit a penthouse greenroom used by Pegg and actress <strong>Kirsten Dunst<\/strong> during filming of <em>How To Lose Friends and Alienate People<\/em> in 2007.<\/p>\n<p>Pegg testified today, for the second time, against a man accused of burglarizing the room and taking Pegg&#8217;s iPod and camera and Dunst&#8217;s handbag with $2000 in cash it in. The first trial ended with a deadlocked jury.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><a href=\"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/PeggStock.gif\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-9346\" title=\"PeggStock\" src=\"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/PeggStock.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"182\" height=\"250\" \/><\/a>In his testimony, Pegg explained that he regularly hides his wedding ring while changing into costume.
