{"id":9373,"date":"2010-06-07T12:12:02","date_gmt":"2010-06-07T19:12:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/?p=9373"},"modified":"2010-06-07T12:12:02","modified_gmt":"2010-06-07T19:12:02","slug":"no-love-for-trek-stars-at-mtv-movie-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trektoday.com\/content\/2010\/06\/no-love-for-trek-stars-at-mtv-movie-awards\/","title":{"rendered":"No Love For Trek Stars At MTV Movie Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 2010 MTV Movie Awards were held last night and while it was a bad night for <em>Star Trek<\/em> fans, fans of <em>Twilight<\/em> were happy with the five awards that came its way.<\/p>\n<p>Both <strong>Chris Pine <\/strong>and <strong>Zo\u00eb Saldana<\/strong> lost in their categories, Saldana losing both times to actors from <em>The Twilight Saga: New Moon<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><a href=\"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/MTV060710.gif\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-9374\" title=\"MTV060710\" src=\"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/MTV060710.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"60\" height=\"86\" \/><\/a>Pine was nominated for the &#8220;Biggest Badass Star&#8221; award, along with <strong>Rain, Angelina Jolie, Channing Tatum<\/strong> and <strong>Sam Worthington<\/strong>. Rain won the award.<\/p>\n<p>For &#8220;Best Breakout Star,&#8221; Pine&#8217;s competition was <strong>Anna Kendrick, Gabourey Sidibe, Logan Lerman, Quinton Aaron <\/strong>and<strong> Zach Galifianakis<\/strong>. Kendrick was the winner in this category.<\/p>\n<p>Saldana&#8217;s competition for &#8220;Best Female Performance&#8221; included <strong>Kristen Stewart<\/strong> (who won the award), <strong>Amanda Seyfried, Emma Watson, <\/strong>and <strong>Sandra Bullock<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, in the &#8220;Best Kiss&#8221; category, Saldana and <strong>Sam Worthington<\/strong> lost out to <strong>Kristen Stewart <\/strong>and <strong>Robert Pattinson<\/strong> of <em>The Twilight Saga: New Moon<\/em>.
