{"id":9530,"date":"2010-06-24T12:28:34","date_gmt":"2010-06-24T19:28:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/?p=9530"},"modified":"2010-06-24T12:28:34","modified_gmt":"2010-06-24T19:28:34","slug":"the-captains-more-than-shatner","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trektoday.com\/content\/2010\/06\/the-captains-more-than-shatner\/","title":{"rendered":"The Captains: More Than Shatner"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Earlier this month, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/2010\/06\/shatner-to-direct-documentary-on-his-life\/\">TrekToday reported<\/a> on <em>The Captains<\/em>, a feature documentary directed by <strong>William Shatner<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>More information has come out regarding the movie, originally thought to be solely about Shatner&#8217;s career.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><a href=\"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/ShatnerStock2.gif\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-9531\" title=\"ShatnerStock\" src=\"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/ShatnerStock2.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"116\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>Shatner explained a bit more about <em>The Captains<\/em>, due out next year. &#8220;I&#8217;m talking to all the captains of <em>Star Trek<\/em>,&#8221; said Shatner. &#8220;I&#8217;m hoping to find out things about them that even they themselves don&#8217;t know. And in the process, find out about myself.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday, filming for the documentary took place at Chuy&#8217;s Mesquite Grill in Moorpark (L.A. area), where Shatner used one of the two dining rooms for the movie shoot. Shatner interviewed other actors, including <strong>Scott Bakula<\/strong> (Archer).<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;re just trying to stay out of their way,&#8221; said restaurant manager <strong>Andy Hessick<\/strong>.
