{"id":9828,"date":"2010-08-03T12:59:48","date_gmt":"2010-08-03T19:59:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/?p=9828"},"modified":"2010-08-03T12:59:48","modified_gmt":"2010-08-03T19:59:48","slug":"shatner-would-return-to-trek","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trektoday.com\/content\/2010\/08\/shatner-would-return-to-trek\/","title":{"rendered":"Shatner Would Return To Trek"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>William Shatner<\/strong> would take a role in <em>Star Trek XII<\/em> if a certain problem could be worked out.<\/p>\n<p>Even though he will be eighty years old by the time <em>Star Trek XII <\/em>is out in theaters, Shatner would not mind having a part in the next Trek movie.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><a href=\"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/ShatnerSmallStock.gif\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-9829\" title=\"ShatnerSmallStock\" src=\"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/ShatnerSmallStock.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"97\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>The problem is not so much that Kirk died in a previous movie, but the fact that Shatner is almost eighty. &#8220;I&#8217;ve become a buddy of <strong>J.J.<\/strong> [<strong>Abrams<\/strong>],&#8221; said Shatner, &#8220;but I don&#8217;t know if they can solve the problem of &#8216;how do you put the body I&#8217;m in now with the Kirk that we remember forty years ago.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;They just did a &#8216;<em>Tron<\/em>&#8216; with Jeff Bridges and de-aged him but I don&#8217;t know how they did that.
