Dawson To Direct on All Major Networks This Season

Star Trek: Voyager's B'Elanna Torres, Roxann Dawson, has been lining up directing jobs, including the season premiere of Crossing Jordan and an episode of the genre hit Lost.

Like her former co-star Robert Duncan McNeill, who played B'Elanna's husband Tom Paris on Star Trek, Dawson has spent more time behind the camera than in front of it since Voyager wrapped. Also like McNeill, she will be directing an episode of FOX's The O.C. for the upcoming season, according to her official web site.

Dawson has just finished directing two episodes of NBC's Crossing Jordan and is scheduled to direct two more this season. In the third installment this season, Dawson oversaw the relationship of title character Jordan with two injured boys trapped in an abandoned mine shaft.

During the upcoming season, Roxann will also helm episodes of two Jerry Bruckheimer series on CBS: Cold Case, which returns to the network this fall, and new series Close to Home. After that, she will travel to Hawaii to film an episode of Lost for ABC, then to Utah to direct an episode of Everwood for the WB.

Dawson's web site notes that PBS has plans to air a documentary on the making of a television episode - "Vox Sola", one of the episodes she directed of Star Trek: Enterprise. In the meantime fans may be able to see her at the Emmy Awards on September 11th, which she will be attending with her husband, Eric Dawson, who has been nominated for Outstanding Casting for a Drama Series for Nip/Tuck.

Updated news about the actress and director is at RoxannDawson.net.
