Site Columns

Hello World!
Elections. As if today's Site Columns could have dealt with anything else. I've been doing nothing but refreshing the big news sites all day long, even though of course the first results only came out a couple of minutes ago. It's going to be a pretty anxious browsing session tomorrow morning, when I'll hopefully finally find out who will be President. I myself am very much hoping Gore will win, as I think most Europeans do (a poll showed 45% of the Dutch favoured Gore and 17% Bush), but with the way things are going now, I of course have no clue whether this will actually happen.
Meanwhile, I myself will be taking part in an election tomorrow as well, as here in Utrecht local elections are being held following the annexation of a neighbouring town. Personally I think it's an absolute stroke of genius to organise the election after the one in the US - there's no way I can be convinced this just happened by accident, and wasn't intended as an elaborate plan to get a higher turn-out.

Thanks for voting! As usual, I'm amazed by the number of votes these polls dealing with character pairings are able to get.
In the new poll, you're asked how (and if) you voted at the election today:
