Hello World!
Phew. It's really late night here at the moment, but at least the work on the new design is finally, finally done. All the Trek Nation articles have been archived, all the dead links fixed, and I've entered the DNS server change at the Internic. The site should be available via the domain name for everyone in a few days now.
As promised, though, it is now actually possible for you to see the new design - just point your browser to http://208.231.7.186/. Hopefully this will also serve to trap the last bugs from the layout before actually making it available for everyone - I did test the site in most of the common browsers, but wasn't able to test it with browsers before the version 3 level or any operating systems besides Windows. So, if you do use any of these alternative browsing methods and you encounter any bugs, please let me know via email or in this thread.
Thanks for waiting, and many apologies for delaying launching the new design so long - I only hope I haven't hyped up the new design so much you're all going to be disappointed.
In related news, today's update will out of necessity be shorter than usual - as you can see from the time this news item is posted, it's a bit late, and I can't wait to finally get to bed.
