Jeri Ryan Is Expecting a Baby

Jeri Ryan (Seven of Nine) and her husband, chef Christophe Eme, are expecting a new face to appear soon in their restaurant.

People reported that the actress, who currently co-stars on CBS's Shark, is due to give birth next March to her second child. Her first, Alex, is the son of her former husband, Illinois politician Jack Ryan.

Ryan and Eme co-own the French restaurant Ortolan in Los Angeles. They were married in June at a castle in the Loire Valley near Angers, France, where Eme grew up.

"She is thrilled about the new addition and they are very, very happy," said Ryan's publicist, David Lust, who added that the expectant parents are "beaming from ear to ear."

Ryan's character on Shark lost re-election as a district attorney at the end of last season and agreed to work with main character Sebastian Stark, played by James Woods. It is unknown how her pregnancy will be worked into or around by the show.
