Enterprise's 'Sailors of the Year' recently visited their fictional 22nd century counterpart to film guest appearances in an upcoming Enterprise episode.

Aviation Electronic Technician First Class Robert Pickering, Aviation Electrician's Mate Second Class Timothy Whittington and Personnelman Third Class Sara Elizabeth Pizzo were invited to appear on the series after they were singled out by the United States Navy for their exceptional service, according to a report on PRNewswire.

Pickering, Whittington and Pizzo filmed their scenes in the episode 'Desert Crossings' on Tuesday, March 7. While on the set they presented executive producers Rick Berman and Brannon Braga with a plaque thanking the cast and crew of Enterprise for their support while the U.S.S. Enterprise was serving in the war against terrorism.

Cast members including Scott Bakula (Jonathan Archer) and Connor Trinneer (Charles 'Trip' Tucker) posed for pictures with the sailors on the bridge of the Enterprise NX-01, as seen above.

The aircraft carrier was the first to be deployed following the September 11 terrorist attacks six months ago. While serving abroad, the crew were sent advance episodes of Enterprise, and Scott Bakula recorded a special message welcoming the U.S.S. Enterprise home in November.

'Desert Crossings' is currently scheduled to air May 8 on UPN. Thanks to Miri for this!
