Decipher today invited card players to go to the movies with the latest expansion set for the Star Trek Customisable card game, entitled 'Star Trek CCG: The Motion Pictures.'
The set will feature cards from all nine Star Trek feature films, from 'The Motion Picture' to 'Insurrection, the company announced today on its web site.
With a worldwide release date of April 13th, there's only three weeks to wait until players can start their own search for Spock or saving the Whales. The expansion will not only support the regular Star Trek CCG, but also the Voyager only game - as the season 2 episode 'Flashback' slots in with 'Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country.'
131 cards make up the set in total, and will be available in the usual format of booster packs. Display boxes will carry packs consisting of one rare and a mix of ten common and uncommon cards.
'The Motion Pictures' is the latest in a long line of expansion packs for the popular customisable card game which launched in 1994. Its a 'customisable' card game, since players are able to build their own play deck from a selection of over 1000 available cards. The cards feature images direct from the TV series and movies, featuring characters, ships, objects, places and more taken from the Trek time line.
