Hello World!
Hi y'all. I'm in a great mood today. Why, might you ask? Well, it's quite simple. I mentioned a while ago that I was looking for a laptop to save me from having fight for the computer I'm currently using with various member of my house hold… Well, I may have just found one. A Toshiba Satellite 2750xDVD for a mere $3381 - that's some $600 cheaper than I've seen the same model sold for anywhere else in this state. Plus, since they're having a special on Toshiba's it comes with an extra 64 meg of Ram and a free carrying case - another $350 on top of that. So now the rush is on to get it before stocks sell out… and at that price, they'll probably be gone by the end of the week.
In other news, another reason why I'm happy is the weather - it's finally realized that summer's on the way and even nudged it's way over 30C yesterday and today. I gad to wear shorts. I really shouldn't be gloating about this, especially given the current situation in Europe with the rain actually giving the POM's something real to complain about for a change (just a joke - I really love my pommy cousins… even the whingers). Still, to make those feel somewhat better, our main beaches were closed over the weekend due to last week's shark attack, so the only solace to those suffering from the heat were the myriad of pools that abound over here. I remember when I lived in the US, it seemed that a pool in your backyard was something only for the rich, here, it seems somewhat abnormal if there aren't at least three houses on your block with one.
