After falling pregnant, battling Andorians and being trapped in a freezing shuttlepod, Connor Trinneer (Charles 'Trip' Tucker) thought he'd seen it all on Enterprise - until a Vulcan vanished from the set.

In the latest issue of Dreamwatch Magazine (via Sci-Fi Pulse) Trinneer told Andy Mangels and Michael A. Martin how one of the actor slated to appear in 'Fusion' discovered that playing a Vulcan wasn't all it's cracked up to be.

"He comes in and we do the first scene, and he's fine," Trinneer said. "We do another scene, he's fine. We go to the last scene of the day. We've been there all day long, rehearsing for the camera, saying our lines, setting it all up - then he leaves. And he doesn't come back. We come back after the rehearsal. Where's the guy? He took off, took his wig off, plucked off his Vulcan ears, tossed them in the trashcan - and went home!"

Trinneer recalled production was significantly delayed because of the guest star's disappearance. "This had never happened before on Star Trek. I don't know how much it costs for a day, but it's hundreds of thousands of dollars. We had to recast it over the weekend and reshoot everything!"

The full interview with the actor can be found in the latest issue of Dreamwatch. Alternatively, extracts are available here at Sci-Fi Pulse.
