Hello World!
Wow...by the time I next write this column, Chanukah will have started. My entertainment schedule for the rest of the month:
See Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World one more time, probably Tuesday. Because if the last Lord of the Rings weren't opening in three days (THREE DAYS!), M&C would be far and away my favorite movie of the year.
See Return of the King at 10 a.m. on Wednesday. Bring lots of tissues. Spend the rest of the day a basket case.
See Return of the King again on Sunday, this time with the kids. If younger son stil won't watch the Dead Marshes after seeing The Two Towers nine times, what are the chances that he will not be in my lap during the Paths of the Dead?
See Peter Pan on Christmas (this is what Jews do on Christmas whenever possible -- go to the movies). Try not to root too obviously for Captain Hook as played by Jason Isaacs...ah, I rooted for him as Lucius Malfoy, I may as well root for him against these kiddies.
Do I want to see Cold Mountain? Someone tell me after seeing it. Thanks.
