TrekToday Launches New Site Design
By ChristianJune 19, 2002 - 3:59 AM
Regular site visitors will have noticed that the design of TrekToday (and of the Trek Nation) was drastically changed this evening.
After more than two years of using the old site design, we felt it would be a good idea to do an update and move away from the black background that many people have complained about over the years. At approximately the same time, our advertising affiliate UGO (the people who provide all the site's ad banners) suggested that we update our design to more closely match theirs. They felt this would enable them to better sell advertising for the site, which would in turn make it easier for us to keep the site running.
Over the past few weeks, we've tested the new design on various browsers, and think most of the bugs are now gone. Most of the pages on TrekToday and the Trek Nation have now been updated, although the Trek Nation front page still needs to be changed. Over the coming weeks, the Trek BBS will also get an updated design, coinciding with the upgrade to new forum software.
If you still encounter aspects of the new design that you think don't look good, please let us know so we can fix them. In addition, we would also love to hear from you if you have any suggestions on how to make the current design look better.
